Our Journey
Around 2012/2013 Sam Brown, being a vintage tractor enthusiast, decided that he wanted to organise a charity tractor run. Living on his family farm, which also had an ice cream parlour/cafe, he had the perfect venue for this to take place so Sam, with the help of close friend and fellow vintage tractor enthusiast Rob Willson and a small group of friends and family, endeavoured to bring this idea to reality. The spectacle that it has now become was to be called Farmer Brown’s Tractor Run, taking it's name from the location where it would be held. Not knowing then that it would turn into an annual event raising thousands of pounds over the course of the next 12 years, attracting ever-increasing numbers of tractors, vintage and modern, the team behind it had to grow and in came Andy, Neil, Joe, Pete and Flo just to name a few.
After 12 years of running this highly successful event Sam definitely thought in 2025 it was time to change and take the next steps. Up to this point we had chosen a charity to support for that year and all the money raised went directly to that charity (and sometimes two). Sam decided that we should become a registered charity to enable us to support many more charities and organisations across Lincolnshire and to enable other types of fund-raising events to take place. Joined again by Rob, Joe, Pete, Flo, Andy and Neil, Sam’s Tractor Run CIO was born and in April 2026 officially became a registered charity. Charity Number 1217774
Sam’s Tractor Run CIO aims to deliver fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds to help many good causes across Lincolnshire. We started as just a charity tractor run but have now become so much more. We couldn't have done this though without the continued support from members of the public, so we thank you very much for that.
